AiRMOUR learning platform has now launched!
AiRMOUR has developed an online learning platform where you can access courses from our training programme. The first course was given as a series of live lectures earlier this year and has now been made available on the new AiRMOUR learning platform which can be accessed by clicking here.
It includes videos on each topic covered and supporting material. A digital certificate of completion will be awarded after working through all modules in the course and passing the online quizzes.
The training programme is particularly useful for stakeholders working in cities, regional authorities, medical sector workers and those working in traditional aviation, for example.
The programme consists of three online courses and two in-person masterclasses which will give stakeholders insights into the use of drones in Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
The AiRMOUR project launched the UAM training programme in spring and it will run until end of 2023. The training programme is coordinated by LuxMobility in collaboration with EUROCONTROL.
The first course introduces the theme of Urban Air Mobility (UAM) and how it can support EMS. The second (due to be launched in spring 2023) will cover the role of Concept of Operations for UAM EMS and the final course (due to be launched in autumn 2023) will focus on facilitating UAM for EMS in European cities.

The training programme is part of the AiRMOUR UAM Toolbox which also includes a GIS tool and a UAM Guidebook.
Masterclass on Urban Air Mobility
AiRMOUR is organising a free two day masterclass on the topic of Urban Air Mobility and its application for the Emergency Medical Services sector. We will be holding this event at EUROCONTROL’s office in Luxembourg on 7th and 8th of December 2022.

AiRMOUR online courses and in-person masterclasses will educate stakeholders on how to utilise Urban Air Mobility to support Emergency Medical Services. The first online course will start on 25th May 2022.
The AiRMOUR project launches a large-scale training programme on Urban Air Mobility (UAM). The training consists of three online courses with several modules and two masterclasses. The purpose is to give different stakeholders insights into the use of drones in Emergency Medical Services. The training is coordinated by LuxMobility in collaboration with EUROCONTROL. It is the third cornerstone in the AiRMOUR UAM Toolbox which also includes a GIS tool and a UAM Guidebook.
‘The first of its kind, this training programme is a unique opportunity to learn how drones can assist medical staff in their life saving work. It will introduce Urban Air Mobility, which is an emerging concept that is likely to become a reality in the near future. You will hear information from leading experts in the aviation, medical and drone industries. I urge any stakeholders with an interest in this topic to join this insightful training’, says Senior Consultant Lucy Mascarenhas from LuxMobility.
All the modules in the first course open for registrations
The first online course will start in May and continues in June. It introduces the theme of Urban Air Mobility and how it can support Emergency Medical Services. The course is targeted at stakeholders working in cities or regional authorities and in traditional aviation. It may also be of interest to industry leaders and drone operators looking to expand their services in the medical sector.
The first AiRMOUR course includes the following modules (click to register):
- What is Urban Air Mobility? An overview of the key terms and types of aircraft. Webinar held on 25th May 2-3pm CET.
- Current regulations for the operation of drones in European cities. Webinar held on 9th June 2-3pm CET.
- Factors to consider in Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) operations. Webinar held on 15th June 2-3pm CET.
- The best practices in Air Mobility medical use cases. Webinar held on 29th June 2-3pm CET.
To be awarded a certificate of attendance for this course learners will need to register and attend all four live lectures. If it is not possible for you to attend all lectures then you can also register for single lectures. The online lectures will be recorded and made available this autumn on an online learning platform which will be communicated nearer the time. Learners will be tested on their knowledge after working through the training material and will be awarded a certificate of completion once they have finished the course.
In-person masterclasses in the cities
In-person masterclass will be held in Luxembourg at the end of this year to bring together learners and stakeholders to discuss further the topic of UAM and how it can support the medical sector. The masterclass will involve presentations from experts, a Q&A and workshop. Another masterclass will be held next year in a different country in Europe, more details to follow.
More online courses next year
The two other AiRMOUR UAM online courses will take place in 2023. One has a technical approach with the topic of Emergency Medical Services CONOPS and is targeted to stakeholders working with drone operations, HEMS operations and the UAM industry. The other trains about UAM policy planning and engagement and will be particularly relevant to city representatives.

AiRMOUR online courses and masterclasses will educate stakeholders on how to utilise Urban Air Mobility in Emergency Medical Services.
The AiRMOUR project will organise a series of online courses and masterclasses on Urban Air Mobility in the context of Emergency Medical Services (EMS). 3 online courses and 2 masterclasses will be organised from the spring of 2022 onwards. The training package is produced by LuxMobility in collaboration with EUROCONTROL.
The online courses will cover themes such as ‘EMS drone operations’, ‘UAM safety and regulation’ and horizontal themes such as the ‘Creation of public acceptance’. The masterclasses will enable the participants to develop their own local UAM EMS pilots.
The purpose is to give different stakeholders insights into the usage of drones and eVTOLs in relation to medical services. Participants will learn how to assess and understand the regulatory, safety and operational aspects of service offers that include drones. They will also learn how to integrate drones into their existing EMS operations.
The main target groups of the training curriculum are EMS and pharmaceutical logistics operators, healthcare institutions, laboratories and blood banks, ministerial and city personnel, private stakeholders working with drones or eVTOLs, business developers, researchers and telecom operators. 120 participants can sign up for the online courses, 60 participants the masterclasses.
The training package is the third cornerstone in the AiRMOUR UAM Toolbox which also includes a GIS tool and a UAM Integration Guidebook.
